Rare Indochinese buffet-bar dating from the 1930s, entirely carved with animated scenes, characters, and Asian-inspired plant motifs. This particularly decorative piece reveals an ingenious interior layout dedicated to the service and presentation of bottles and glasses. The upper surface opens to reveal the bar, while the lower part includes various storage options, drawers, and compartments. The numerous carved panels that adorn the front, sides, and interior of the piece give it a unique presence and great decorative richness. The depicted scenes create a true narrative decor that unfolds with each opening. The piece shows a patina and signs of use consistent with its age, visible in the photographs.
