Antique French side tables in marble in Empire style.

Magnificent pair of antique French side tables in classic Empire style, not quite identical. These high-quality tables or guéridons are made from a hand-carved wooden base gilded with gold leaf, topped with a green Italian marble surface. France, circa 1900. Luxurious pair of side tables, richly decorated with fluted legs, acanthus leaves, polka dot patterns, and flowers. This rare pair of guéridons, with exceptional character, has been patinated over the years. Their charming patina of use gives them a certain originality. They are not quite identical nor of the same height, but they are a true feast for the eyes and, wherever you place them in your home, they will attract all attention! Both tables are in a similar condition, marked by time and character. They are still very sturdy and solid. There are some chippings of the gold leaf on the underside, mainly at the ends of the legs, and a few superficial cracks in the wooden decoration.
