A real favorite: rare antique small earthenware vegetable dish or soup tureen, with a beautiful patina of time, adorned with a delicate cobalt blue decoration representing sailing ships and maritime scenes all around the body framed by blue floral friezes. A sober and controlled aesthetic, typical of productions inspired by Delft or Rouen reinterpreted. The domed lid, enhanced with a sculpted knob, brings a touch of discreet elegance. The whole rests on its matching sealed dish. Stamped Alebachz & M. Bouchart, brand of the Grands Établissements Céramiques, founded in 1892 on the banks of the Scarpe. This factory, symbol of the know-how of the North, merged in 1923 with the Faïencerie de la Gare in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux. Dish diameter included 24 cm, height 15 cm, container diameter 16.5 cm Very good condition - very light patina of time, beautiful shine, slight natural enamel cracks, no cracks or chips. A characterful object to collect or to integrate into a classic chic decoration, family home or seaside. I also have in my shop a large round dish of the same model.
