Antique ff pexonnes soup tureen – "birds" model (blue tones): for lovers of beautiful pieces from yesteryear, here is an antique earthenware soup tureen that has everything to seduce: a delicate decoration in shades of blue, a generous silhouette with a pedestal, and that little extra soul that objects patinated by time have. Made by the pexonnes earthenware factory in eastern france, it bears the elegant "ff – birds" stamp, probably towards the end of the 19th century. Its finely decorated handles, its lid with a floral ring grip, and its naturalist motifs – birds, foliage, flowers, and small country scenes – make it a decorative piece that is as beautiful as it is timeless. Both authentic and full of poetry, it will find its place on a festive table, as a centerpiece with a seasonal bouquet, or simply as a collector's item. It bears witness to a know-how that has now disappeared, but is oh so sought-after. Very good overall condition - cracks from use and patina of age, a hairline crack (see photo) on the tureen and one on the lid, very barely visible on the outside. Dimensions: height 23 cm, diameter 27 cm with handle, diameter at the base 14 cm, lid 23 cm in diameter.
