Description
Louis XVI style rotating office armchair in ash by andré mailfert (1884-1943). Upholstered leather cake. Comes from the mailfert-amos art studio. Stamped under the seat, stamp marked with iron representing a salamander wearing a crown. Around 1920. Seated armchair and reinforcement of the steel pivot in the shape of a cross under the seat. André mailfert was a famous forger who reproduced antique furniture in the great french artisanal tradition. He opened a furniture factory in orléans for this purpose in 1904, which had more than 200 cabinetmakers. All his furniture today is sought after. The cannage is in very good condition except that it is damaged on the front seat only (see photos) which is not important because the leather cake (slight wear) covers. The whole thing and we are well seated. The chair is stable and turns very well. Good general condition.
