Harry Bertoia’s Diamond Chair, introduced in 1952, is a masterpiece of mid-century design. Crafted from welded steel rods, the chair’s open, airy structure gives the illusion of floating space, earning it the nickname “sitting on air.” Bertoia, a trained sculptor, was known for his obsession with metal and designed the chair to combine strength and elegance. This rare versions of the Diamond Chair come with a matching footstool. These pieces are highly collectible, especially when paired with the original ottoman, and are distinguished by their ergonomic form and timeless modern aesthetic. Signs of use at the white bases. Most rust has been cleaned off, but some remains on the back. (See photo’s) Can be cleaned off entirely if desired.
