Vintage solid pine workshop stool

The stool is in very good condition, no breakage, no lacks. It is stable and solid, homemade, serious and intelligent. It is most likely a unique piece, a very accomplished work of some skilled handyman. The proposals are very generous, the seat measures 32 cm X 32 cm, and 3 cm thick. The feet, of square section of 4cm side are very slightly flared, and are connected to each other by reinforcement bars. The underside of the seat also has a reinforcement band between the feet, which is embellished with a hollow cut that lightens the design. The stool is made of pine, it is a relatively soft wood, and therefore it is quite marked, bearing the memory of its past use. Since it is a workshop furniture, we imagine that it could have served as a support, small workbench, support ... This resulted in leaving marks of blows, traces of saw etc ... The wood is natural, nicely patinated, the pine having the particularity of darkening over time in the light. The stool has been fully waxed with natural beeswax, and for maintenance it will not be enough to rub it from time to time with a soft cloth. The seat height is 47 cm, which corresponds to the standard seat height of a chair. The top of the seat is decorated with two hollow lines that have been traced with a saw, and which intersect forming a sober asymmetrical graphic pattern. Its generous proportions will also allow it to be used as a sofa end, harness, bedside table, extra tablet ... Production of the 70s.
