The set consists of five panels painted in moulded wooden frames: in the centre, a large allegorical composition where female figures move among vine shoots and tendrils in golden tones; on either side, two autumn landscapes — one showing a love temple with columns reflecting in a body of water, the other a woodland with golden foliage crossed by a river — and two narrow vertical panels adorned with iris stems, typical of the floral repertoire of 1900. This complete decorative programme, created around 1900 by the Atelier Couteau & Duhamel in Calais, illustrates the Art Nouveau's aim to adorn interior architecture: these painted ensembles decorated salons, cafés, or dining rooms, blending allegory, landscape, and stylised flora in a harmonious autumn palette. Condition report: Generally good condition. The paint layers are legible and fresh overall, with a patina and minor surface wear consistent with age, original frames showing some rubbing. A rare and complete wall decoration, to be reassembled in woodwork or distributed across a large reception wall.
