Charles and Ray Eames office chair

Aluminium chair model EA 105 designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1958. Charles and Ray Eames envisioned this armchair for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus (Indiana, USA). For its construction, the design duo abandoned the idea of a seat shell to stretch a fabric panel between two aluminium side panels, resulting in a firm yet flexible seat. The seat conforms to the contours of the body and is extremely comfortable, even without sophisticated padding. Dimensions: H84cm x W52.5cm x D59cm.
