Eames office chair for Vitra, aluminium and blue fabric

Aluminium chair model EA 105 designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1958. Charles and Ray Eames envisioned this chair for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus (Indiana, USA). For its construction, the designer couple abandoned the idea of a seat shell to stretch a fabric panel between two aluminium side panels, resulting in a firm yet flexible seat.
