Magnificent vintage Vallauris plate "the cart" Picasso style 1950-

It features a superb stylised fish design with incised white lines on a textured matte black background, enhanced by two bright colour accents (orange and bright red enamel), strongly reminiscent of the universe and style of Pablo Picasso or Jean Lurçat in Vallauris. A very beautiful piece for collection or modernist/Mid-Century decoration. Details and Condition: Origin: Vallauris, France (Atelier Le Chariot). Diameter. Style: Brutalist, Modern, 1950s/60s. Colours: Matte black, white, bright red, and orange. Overall aesthetic condition is good. For complete transparency, there are two slight signs of wear visible up close: A small chip/enamel flake on the upper right edge. A slight firing defect or small superficial mark on the left edge. The back shows a patina and normal signs of use for its age. An authentic piece with a lot of character, perfect on an easel (as presented) or for hanging.
