Decorative plate in glazed terracotta, from the artisan craft of the island of Mallorca (Spain) and dating from the 1950s-1960s. This piece features a modernist design with five stylised fish captured in a fishing net, hand-painted with bold black strokes on a background of salmon pink/light terracotta. The raw aesthetic and geometric graphics of this plate immediately evoke the Mid-Century Modern movement of post-war Mediterranean ceramics, reminiscent of the free and recognisable style of creators like Robert Picault in Vallauris. On the back, the piece is fully hand-signed "Mallorca Seguí", confirming its authenticity and origin from the famous Majorcan workshop of the Seguí family. A very beautiful collectible piece, ideal for decorating a wall in an arrangement or for being placed on a vintage sideboard. Careful and prompt shipping.
