Gien earthenware plate, late 19th century

Tin-glazed Gien earthenware plate with lambrequin decoration, late 19th century, painted freehand with a brush. Lambrequin decoration with shell palmette on the rim and edge, undecorated basin with a white enamel background. Lotus frieze and small grid patterns on the outer edge of the rim. Plate turned and stamped. Typical neoclassical decoration attributed to the Gien factory, late 19th century. Diameter 25.5 cm and depth 2 cm. Good overall condition, slight chipping, see photos.
