Handmade inlaid box

Handmade box inlaid in elm burl wood. On the lid of the box, an elegant weaving play made with different species of elm wood is depicted. Two small hinges allow the object to be closed. A surprising, singular and sophisticated organic material, which stands out from other states of wood thanks to its sinuous play of intertwined ribs and knots which evoke the rendering of marble. Coming from an irregular outgrowth of the trunk, the elm burl is rich in its lines, its knots but also in its contrasting shades. Refinement at its peak. In a perfect state.
