Chinese Palequin

Superb lacquered palanquin with curved roof topped with a sculpture. The four faces are paneled and laquered. A window is placed on each side in finely chiseled wood inside and decorated with figures carved in round hump on the outside, which allowed the passenger to see without being seen.
