Chinese pivoting cabinet in camphor wood – circa 1950 Dimensions: H 155 × W 104 × D 58 cm Elegant Chinese cabinet in camphor wood, dating from the 1950s, fully decorated with deeply carved panels depicting scenes of traditional life, pagodas, bridges, figures, and landscapes. The sculptures adorn the front as well as the sides, offering a refined decoration visible from all angles. This piece features an original design: the upper part pivots 360° on its base, allowing for different presentation and usage configurations. It opens with four doors with concealed handles, revealing a practical storage interior. This type of cabinet, inspired by traditional Chinese furniture, was made from camphor wood, valued for its natural fragrance and protective properties against insects. The piece rests on a sculpted base decorated with dragons and traditional motifs, finished with curved feet. It has a beautiful original patina. There are some signs of wear and usage, mainly on the lower part and the back, consistent with its age and visible in the photographs, without compromising its stability or charm. A decorative piece of fine quality, ideal for a classic, contemporary, or Asian-inspired interior, which can serve as a storage unit, curiosity cabinet, or accent furniture. Partial opening at the back.
