1970s Scandinavian Wall Sconce by Solbackens Svarveri in Pine

A superb vintage Scandinavian wall sconce of large size, made by Solbackens Svarveri in Sweden, dating from the 1970s. This sculptural wall light consists of a beautifully turned pine body, associated with its original wool shade. The warm orange hue creates a soft and warm light when lit, while its characteristic silhouette gives the lamp strong decorative potential, even when unlit. The combination of natural pine and shade is typically Scandinavian from the 1970s: it combines natural materials with the playful and graphic character of that era. Its generous proportions make it a particularly striking decorative piece in a living room, hallway, bedroom, or any other interior space. This lamp has retained its original shade and features both an elegant and highly original shape, making it an excellent choice for collectors of vintage Scandinavian lighting or contemporary interiors seeking a unique retro touch.
