Lage impressionsst lanscape by swedish auction painter gustav arne (1925-2011). Handwritten and dated in the lower right part of the painting. This painting was painted in 1954. Oil painting on canvas. Framed. Gustave arne. Gustaf arne husberg (born may 4, 1925 in stockholm, died august 14, 2011 in stockholm) was a swedish painter. He painted figural compositions, circus motifs, light-saturated landscapes, beaches and still lifes, especially from skåne and kullabygden with his hometown of viken. He also painted in france and spain, worked e.g. With charcoal drawing. Gustav arne studied at the skåne school of painting in malmö, with marie wadskjær in copenhagen and with isaac grünewald until his death in 1946, and in paris from 1948 to 1949. He made his debut at the kullakonst exhibition in höganäs in 1944 and participated in many solo and group exhibitions such as vikingsberg in helsingborg several times, the spring exhibition four young scanians together with bengt orup, kaj siesjö and torsten hult at the norrköping art museum in 1949, helsingborgs konstförenings vårsalonger, skånes konstförening, association of artists (kso). In 2006, a major retrospective exhibition was held in vikingsberg. Gustav arne is represented, among others, by at moderna museet, malmö konstmuseum, norrköpings konstmuseum, ystads konstmuseum, helsingborgs stadsmuseum and höganäs museum and konsthall. From 1950, he was married to the artist bibban berendahl. His son simon arne and daughter katinka husberg are also artists.
