Watercolor signed Jan van der Linde framed

Old watercolor (19th century) dutch landscape signed jan van der linde. Jan van der linde was a dutch painter. He first worked as a tailor, and it was only after his 40th birthday that he began to paint. The painter eduard alexander hilverdink (nl) (1846-1891) recognized his talent and took care of his apprenticeship and training. He specialized in marine paintings, landscapes and village scenes. His son, jan (joannes) van der linde, jr. (1887-1956) was also a painter. As he died without descendants, the works were donated and are exhibited at the maritime museum in amsterdam and the maritime museum in rotterdam. Frame measurement 58.5x95 cm. Image window measurement 39x77.5 cm. Watercolor in very good condition, except for a tear in the signature. Artist side. If necessary the work can be decanted for sending (without glass).
