Vermund Larsen VL1312 side table, 1950s Denmark

Elegant side table model VL1312 designed by Vermund Larsen in Denmark in the 1950s. The table features a beautifully shaped triangular oak top with an exceptionally expressive grain, supported by a chrome steel frame with an integrated lower shelf. The refined combination of organic wooden shapes and slender metal construction reflects the characteristic approach of functional furniture design of Danish Modern from that era. The dramatic natural pattern of the oak veneer gives the table a particularly distinctive character. Very good vintage condition. The oak top has been previously renovated. The chrome steel frame shows slight oxidation and age-related patina. The original plastic feet were missing and have been replaced with custom-turned solid oak feet.
