Lounge chair CH3 by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn

The 'CH3' lounge chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn in the 1960s. He was one of the most remarkable of the iconic Danish designers, as the shape of his furniture resulted from direct contact with the material and a deep understanding of it. The chair is characterised by angular shapes, the use of natural materials, and precise details. The frame is made of beech, the seat and backrest are upholstered, and the underside of the seat is covered with rope. The height of the headrest is adjustable. It shows some surface scratches, stains, and wear in certain places.
