Low footed compote in polychrome ironstone Longchamp Daisy.

Magnificent antique compote on a low foot made of ironstone from the Longchamp pottery, model Daisy. A superb piece with a polychrome floral decoration in delicate shades of pink, mauve, red, yellow, and green, enhanced by fine arabesques and foliage. Its pretty round shape with scalloped edges and elegant low foot gives it a lot of charm. A refined piece, ideal for presenting fruits or pastries on a beautiful antique table, or to complete a collection of ironstone tableware. Overall good condition for its age. There are a few small stains and usual signs of use, as well as a small chip at the foot, visible in the photographs. This flaw remains discreet when the compote is displayed and does not detract from the charm of this very beautiful piece.
