Large antique mirror with gilded parcloses – Louis XV style, Napoleonic III era – 19th century Magnificent and imposing antique mirror with parcloses, in the rocaille Louis XV style, probably made in the second half of the 19th century. It features a richly gilded wooden frame adorned with scrolls, volutes, and foliage, enhanced by an elegant openwork pediment representing a floral crown, ribbons, and decorative attributes. The central glass is surrounded by reflective parcloses that add relief, depth, and elegance to the whole. The mirror retains a beautiful old patina, with signs of wear on the gilding and alterations to the glass, attesting to its age. Some defects are visible on the frame. Its back is made of wooden planks, showcasing traditional construction. A character piece, ideal for a Haussmannian interior, an elegant country house, or a decor combining antiques and contemporary furniture.
