Straightlined neoclassical biedermeier commode / chest of two drawers from southern germany, circa 1820-1830. Wonderful bright yellow cherry veneer and solid wood. Massive "stollen" feet. Ebonized and inlaid key ring tags and ebonized platemark and inner edges. Restored and polished by hand with shellac (french polish). Old working box locks. Dimensions: h 76.5 cm X w 115 cm X d 55 cm.
