Old painting, portrait of a gentleman signed and dated 1907

Very nice portrait of a hipster gentleman with a beautiful costume embellished with a buttonhole daisy, a beautiful beard and a typical hat of the early twentieth century. Mixed technique used to make this portrait, charcoal, pencil, chalk..., with undoubtedly a photographic base as the look that emerges is realistic as well as the details. Our gentleman is proud to pose, and he exudes a benevolence and at the same time a very soothing look. It is signed lower right m foulin and is dated 1907. The painting has a wooden glazed frame decorated with a frieze on the edges, the one has many splinters but this does not take away the charm of the painting because the frame is period.
