Medicine or toilet cabinet

This charming little storage unit, all in wood, is a medicine cabinet or toilet cabinet typical of the first half of the 20th century with its moldings, drawer, small patinated metal handles, and glass door, whose glazing is very nicely worked: relief patterns make it opaque. It has fasteners at the back to fix it to the wall but can also be installed. It can be used as is, but deserves a nice restoration. Indeed, the paint flakes easily in many places and even dissolves (part disappeared during my careful washing (inside and outside) with a soft brush, the rest should not be difficult to remove). It is in good structural condition, still solid but does not hide its sixty years well packed: beetle holes, many in the low molding and less than a dozen on the rest of the furniture, they seem old, not active, but I still treated them by injection of white vinegar into the holes and generous whitewash (this is my natural method to replace the chemical insecticide). It also has many other signs of its advanced age: small chips, spots and various marks, and non-disabling cracks at the back. It measures 60 cm in height, 37 cm in width, 19 cm in depth and weighs about 3 kg.
