Very good condition: brass eyelets present, fabric trim missing at the bottom, beautiful colours, minor signs of use and age (see photo). Nice patina, well-preserved colours, and historical interest. Dating: after 1935. Absence of the Saar Territory, a German territory (current Saar) administered by the League of Nations between 1920 and 1935 (Treaty of Versailles). The occupation of the Ruhr by French troops in 1923 is not shown on the map. Map postdating the Treaty of Versailles (1919) which returned Alsace-Lorraine to France.
