Set of 4 Minimalist Art Deco Dining Chairs in Cowhide, Netherlands, 1940s

Set of 4 cubist dining chairs in good original condition. These chairs were manufactured in the netherlands in the 1940s. The solid wooden frame of the chairs is constructed in a quite traditional and basic manner, which gives the chairs their minimalist appearance. This minimalist form recalls modernist influences such as cubism and de stijl. The cushions are reupholstered with a natural brown/beige cowhide which gives a very nice contrast with the dark wooden frame.
