Set of 4 teak chairs with shaped backrests, upholstered seats in ochre fabric and tapered legs. Designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors, Sweden, 1962. Original mark present. Produced for Bodafors in 1962, these chairs belong to the mature period of post-war Swedish design, when teak and restrained construction were combined with particular attention to detail. The design is by Bertil Fridhagen, an important figure in Bodafors furniture production, where he worked for many years as a designer and chief architect. His attention to proportion and woodworking is especially evident in the backrest: a gently curved central teak panel is integrated into the slender frame and culminates in a softly sculpted upper rail. Tapered legs and ochre upholstery complete the composition, creating a balanced contrast with the teak. Original mark present. Good condition. They may show signs of age.
