Royal copenhan hanging lamp in double layer white opal glass. 1980s denmark. Simple, clean design by sidse werner, apoteker hanging lamp in double layer white opaline glass, from holmegaard/royal copenhagen. Sidse werner (1931-1989) was a danish architect and industrial designer who worked freelance for a number of well-known manufacturers, including fritz hansen and holmegaard. Werner's designs included furniture, textiles, lamps and glass. In the 1970s, she began working for holmegaard, where she created a number of glass pieces, including the apoteker pendant, which was one of her last creations before her death in 1989. This model is labelled/sold by royal copenhagen, but it is produced by holmegaard. In the link below, the apoteker lamp is presented in 1981.
