Tramp art box, circa 1900

Beautiful "tramp art" set, woodworking style from the arts and crafts movement. Tramp art was born in the united states around 1850, it was a popular art based on crafts and wood recovery (e.g. From boxes of cigars) that was often trimmed and assembled using small nails. The layering of geometrically cut layers of wood is one of the characteristics of the movement. The box has two drawers on each large face as well as a padded interior of red fabric (normal wear given its age). It also has a handle on the top face as well as its original key and lock, the cabinet closes perfectly. Dimensions: 21 X 30 X 20 cm. Good general condition (small lack of lid), see photos.
