Library desk

Sublime and rare antique library in solid walnut and raw pine, fully restored. Its large, shallow format allows for ample storage without weighing down the room or its silhouette. It looks stunning as a desk and can also serve in a kitchen, living room, or as an entryway piece. Its two slightly different-sized drawers, their authentic shell handles, the shape of its legs, and the knots in its wood are all details that give it incredible charm, utility, and stability while affirming its rustic wabi-sabi style. It has been completely stripped and sanded with fine grain to preserve its patina. It has been carefully treated against potential wood-eating insects (it was not inhabited, but the treatment is done systematically). Note some old woodworm holes in certain places. A few non-intrusive cracks on its shelves. These imperfections do not hinder its use; they are purely aesthetic and contribute to its imperfect charm. Total height 208 cm. Shelf height 75 cm. Height under drawers 62 cm. Width 106 cm (at its widest) / Width 100 cm (at its narrowest) Depth 51 cm (shelf) / 39 cm (legs) / 26 cm (shelves) Interior depth of the shelf section: 22 cm. Bottom shelf height 25 cm. Middle shelf height 26 cm. Top shelf height 36 cm.
