Still Life with Eggs, 20th century, signed Valet.
Culinary still life, classic in the Dutch style. Very beautiful oil on panel by the painter A. Valet, active in the first half of the 20th century, depicting an intimate still life featuring kitchen utensils and everyday goods: a green-handled steel frying pan hanging next to a suspended dish towel, a dark metal pitcher with a long spout, and a terracotta pot containing eggs. A beautiful work full of contrasts of light and subtle reflections in the spirit of Flemish still lifes reinterpreted in a contemporary, almost Art Deco style. The cool tones of the background contrast with the soft pastel colors of the bowl of eggs. Oil on panel in its original wooden frame, measuring 48 X 68 cm. Dimensions without frame: 39 X 53 cm. Overall good condition for this very beautiful old painting from the first half of the 20th century; look at the photos, very decorative, ideal for a kitchen or dining room.
