Here is another painting from the brushes of a self-taught lorraine artist who did not lack talent. If still lifes generally give pride of place to foodstuffs, the painter chose to highlight the containers. She organized her canvas around objects that evoke a real moment of well-being. She tells a story. Her technique is solid. She used a range of warm and deep colors well mastered and enhanced by the intensity of well-placed luminous touches. The fact that the objects are placed on different planes reinforces the depth of the image. This composition is full of tranquility and expresses real emotion. The canvas is in very good condition.
