French Antique Bronze Empire Double Wall Sconce With Arrow & Swan Detail 4317

This wonderful sconce has so many details which are typical of the french empire period. The round center piece has a black lacquer finish with a pretty flower shaped button in the middle.the back plate is in the shape of a diamond with a pointed arrow shape at the top and bottom. From the backplate come the two arms which feature a swan or goose bird and lead to round detailed candle sconce holders.the candle drips are the original wooden drips in beige. The light is working and wired with french twin core wiring which as been joined behind the backplate, and takes 2 small screw type e14 bulbs. The brass has lovely aged patina and marks associated with age. It has been cleaned but not polished so you can decide on the finish. The candle drip is in good vintage condition with marks associated with age.
