Expertised by Drouot. Large antique brass jardinière / planter, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. A particularly decorative piece featuring an elaborate repoussé design of cherry branches, fruits and leaves, surrounded by a finely textured background. The jardinière stands on small decorative feet and has developed an attractive aged patina. The interior shows substantial natural oxidation and verdigris consistent with its age and previous use as a planter. Details: Period: circa 1890–1910. Style: Art Nouveau / late 19th-century decorative arts. Material: brass. Decoration: repoussé cherry fruits, branches and leaves. Length: approx. 40 cm. Width: approx. 14–15 cm.
