Clichy glass lampshade pendant light

Here is a pendant light whose lampshade is made of pink and white speckled glass called clichy glass. With its “fluffy sky” effect, this pendant light will add a romantic and soft touch to any room in the house. It must date from the first half of the 20th century. The lampshade is in good condition, no cracks, but small losses (chips but in the thickness, the general shape is intact) around the edge of the upper constricted part. This has no impact on its solidity, the glass in this place remains quite thick, nor on its aesthetics because this will be hidden by the retaining claw which is placed in this place. This suspension therefore includes the lampshade but also the retaining claw with its eyebolt, a cable, a chain, a eyebolt for hanging on the ceiling as well as the ceiling rosette. The socket is also there, but it is slightly too large to pass through the neck of the lampshade and therefore cannot be screwed onto the bottom peg. You will therefore have to change it, which is very easy (you just need a small screwdriver). As the electrical cable is not very young, I would advise changing it, which will also allow you to replace it with a cable lined with fabric that is much more aesthetic in my opinion. The gilded metal parts are solid and still perfectly functional but show various signs of time: stains, corrosion, absence of gilding. The lampshade measures 25.5 cm wide from one tip to the opposite one, 11 cm high. The chain measures approximately 45 cm in length.
