Renovated 1940s old trunk – Vintage coffee table

Rare antique low trunk dating from the 1940s-1950s, ideal as a storage chest, coffee table, or vintage decor item. This piece belonged to the Parisian collector couple Fischof-La Foux and was originally used for transatlantic voyages. 🧳 Exterior: - Structure: beech wood (plywood) with wooden strapping - Covering: glued canvas repainted in brown and beige, protected by a colorless varnish - 2 brass clasps with "Compagnie des clous AU SOLEIL" hallmark (trunk jewelry wholesaler 1910-1960) - Central clasp + nickel-plated brass corners (1 corner missing, some patinated or deformed) - Studding: brushed steel - New leather handles + jute strap 🪡 Interior: - Original beige/yellow fabric in good condition - 1 removable compartment - 3 adhesives placed to reinforce fragile areas - Some halos (see photos) 🎨 Renovation: The exterior has been completely restored.
