Unsigned, dated oil painting on cardboard, late 19th century, Italian school. Oil painting on cardboard depicting a countryside view with a stream. It bears the inscription 21-8-84 in the lower left corner, in the manner of Delleani. On the back, the inscription "Delleani" is engraved in pencil, a very thick line, as the famous painter did. We cannot guarantee that it is by the artist mentioned above; we are therefore selling it with the inscription "Delleani" (1840-1908). It was acquired at an antiques auction by a private individual in the 1980s and 1990s and is attributed to Delleani. It is not accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. With this necessary clarification, I must say that this painting is truly magnificent and well executed. Frame dimensions: 55 X 45.5 cm; painting dimensions: 33 X 23.5 cm.
