Watercolor painted on paper in 1907 by Albert GYSEL (signed lower right): "RIVER EDGE". Pencil mention on the back of the painting "la BOURRE vers LA MOTTE AU BOIS 1907" and label mentioning that the artist was director of Fine Arts in DUNKERQUE. Size 25 X 33cm surrounded by a white mat of 33 X 42cm in a wooden frame 39 X 48cm (later frame because larger than the mat). String for wall hanging. Protective glass. The scene represents a river flowing in a wooded environment. - Albert GYSEL (1877 / 1947) is a Dunkirk painter, professor of drawing and painting at the School of Fine Arts, Director of Fine Arts from 1930 to then curator of the Dunkirk Museum at the end of his life.
