Thonet children's high chair

This bentwood high chair for children or babies dates from the end of the 19th century. It is stamped thonet, inventor of the bentwood technique. It corresponds to model 1230 in the thonet catalog. The seat and back are made of cane. The seat is in perfect condition, the back is partially broken (see close-up photo). The crotch strap cleverly protrudes to serve as a footrest. The chair is solid and stable, the wood has been treated, the shine of the cane has been revived. It is ready to serve for the century to come.
