Stilnovo, the brilliance of post-war Italian lighting
Stilnovo, founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, is one of the great Italian post-war lighting houses. For three decades, the publisher produced lamps, floor lamps and pendants signed by the greatest: Joe Colombo, Gae Aulenti, Ettore Sottsass, Danilo and Corrado Aroldi. Its signature? Bold, playful, deeply modern design, placing Stilnovo alongside Arteluce and Arredoluce as one of the three pillars of Italian post-war lighting.
The Stilnovo lamp, whether signed by Joe Colombo or Gae Aulenti, is now an absolute reference on the Italian vintage lighting market. Chromed floor lamps, modular pendants, articulated desk lamps: as many pieces to find for lighting that tells a story.
