Description
Low teak sideboard by ib kofoed larsen for faarup møbelfabrik. Manufactured in denmark in the 1970's.two fold-down doors on the front section with internal lights. These lights can be engaged by opening the doors. Centre shelf section. This unit was originally the top section of an ib kofod larsen wall unit, and the leg base/two-tone teak legs have been added using midcentury material. Ducting grooves for cabling on the top-plate. (see photos: ) Ib kofod-larsen was trained as an architect and inspired by especially finn juhl’s approach to danish furniture design characterised by an elegant, organic and sculptural idiom. In particular, kofod-larsen’s furniture is extremely sought-after on the international auction market.
