Antique soviet exterior house sign road sign and street lamp lantern in toleware iconic soviet industrial design c1940s. Made from thin tin with a triangle top fitted inside is the bulb holder with 2 pieces of glass to project the light when turned on, and to the bottom is the semi circle with the name of the street written in russian, this translates in basic terms to "collectivism street" typical soviet propaganda from the lenin stalin era. Iconic industrial soviet design that would look fantastic in a bar, cafe, man cave, office etc, very unusual and I love it, hope you do to. Condition. 1940s and used outside most of its life, condition is very good although the paint has cracked and rust is apparent actually giving this a really cool patina, depending what you want to use it for it may need rewiring which should be easy to do, and maybe a sealer to keep the patina solid. Dimensions. 37 cms high. 26 cms across at widest point. 13 cms deep at top.
