Cheese bell butter bell floats

A very decorative cheese bell in pressed glass from the art deco period. The bell was manufactured by glasfabriek leerdam and designed by a.d. Copier. The dome has a beautifully cut pattern and a special handle. The dome and the bottom of the tray are decorated in relief. What makes this dome very rare is that the tray appears optically black, but when you hold the tray against the sunlight you can see that it shines through the dark purple.
