Description
Jacques blin (1920-1984) was one of the greatest ceramists of the post-war period, beginning in 1947 with lamps feet and quickly found his style. Its first pieces are molded like this pitcher that bears the number 42. This décor is typical of the early 1950s by blin, abstract and geometric, largely incised. Close to brut art. In 1955, blin called on jean rustin for his sets of poetic and surrealist characters and animals. The colors of blin's pieces are mainly deep blue, pale green or pink as here. A black wiping adds to the rough side of its pieces. Don't forget the sweetness of blin's enamel. This piece is moulded and dates back to the early 1950s.
