Scandinavian mahogany and glas coffee table by Illum Wikkelso for CF Christiansen Silkeborg, 1960s

Dimensions: 135x86x54cm (width X depth X height) This scandinavian coffee table was designed by illum wikkelso for cf christiansen silkeborg in denmark in the 1960s. Typical of the best danish modern design, the excellent craftsmanship matches the refined details such as beautifully carved x-shaped legs and the cut outs for the hand cut glas top to rest on. The organically shaped frame is carved out of bright mahogany wood. The wooden parts show only some minor traces of wear and tear, mostly on the lower legs. One chip on the glas tops bottom side and some minor scratches on the glas top. The wood has been glued and refinished. Overall appearance presents beautifully.
