Jacques ochs (1883-1971) oil on canvas "still life" Signed and dated lower right 1940. Dimensions: 50 X 60 cm. Frame: 63 X 74 cm. Provenance: emma lambotte collection. Private collection. Jacques ochs, born february 18, 1883 in nice and died april 3, 1971 (at the age of 88) in liège, is a painter, draftsman, portraitist and olympic fencing champion. Jacques ochs completes the academy - 1903- stays briefly in tuscany, continued his training at the academy of fine arts in paris (1904-1906). Draftsman at "pourquoi pas?", poster artist and portraitist, collaborates with the petit parisien and the belgian nation. Olympic gold medalist in fencing in stockholm - 1912 - and world champion in épée in barcelona - 1914.
