Suite of Tables Gigognes by Raphaël Raffel - Merisier - Ca 1955

Superb and rare set of three pull-out tables by the french designer raphaël raffel dit raffel. These three tables have a rectangular glass top and rest on an atypical base whose streamlined shape splits in two. This set is a beautiful representation of the elegance of french furniture of the 1950s. They are worked in a light wood that is the cherry tree offering them a certain luminosity. The finesse of the base and the presence of a transparent glass top bring lightness to these tables. Raffel has worked with the maison honoré in paris.
