Service of 12 dessert plates and its serving dish - Obernai - Sarreguemines - Henry Loux

This dessert service from the sarreguemines pottery, with its obernai décor, was produced between the years 1945 and 1967. This décor is one of the most popular of the sarreguemines pottery, with its alsatian style and realistic illustrations by henri loux, who captured the essence of traditional alsatian life. This service consists of a serving dish measuring 27.5 cm in diameter and 29.2 cm at the widest with the handles, for a height of 2.8 cm. The dish illustrates a scene different from the six scenes depicted on the 12 dessert plates. Each of these plates measures 21.7 cm in diameter and is 2.2 cm high and are decorated with an illustration representing a traditional alsatian scene of its time. The six different scenes are spread over the 12 plates.
